Abstracts

Participants on the ECM2024 are encouraged to submit proposals for Contributed Talks (15 minutes oral presentation + 5 minutes for discussion, except for the EMYA Lightning talks, see the description in "topics") or Posters.

The final decision about accepted abstracts and the type of presentation will be made by the Local Scientific Committee.

All submissions must be made electronically via the online submission form on the congress home page before the abstract submission deadline: April 2nd, 2024.

Please read the guidelines detailed below before proceeding with your submission.
ABSTRACT FORMAT
To send your submission, please provide a title and a brief abstract in the submission form.

Maximum length of the abstract: 300 words (not including title and authors).

Title and authors must not be included in the text of the abstract. There are special text fields to include this information in the next page of the submission form.

You will find two text fields to include your abstract text, please, copy and paste the same text in both: the first one should include mathematics using Latex, as plain text. In the second one you will be able to display the mathematical functions using the fx button to insert every function in the appropriate place in the text, to display math functions. If you are not using mathematical functions just copy and paste the same text.

During the submission you will also be able to inform about your presentation preference (Contributed Talk or Poster) through the submission form, but the final decision will be made by the Local Scientific Committee.

Please, state in the system who will be the contact person. This person will receive all notifications. Please enter the contact e-mail address correctly for future correspondence related to your abstract.
When you finish the submission process, you should receive an acknowledgement e-mail with your reference number. If you do not receive this, please, contact the scientific secretariat at
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

You will be able to modify your abstract before the submission deadline through the online submission form. To gain access to your previous submission you must use your email and the password you should have received in the acknowledgement email received after the submission.

When you include the list of authors you will be able to state in the system who will be the presenting author. If the abstract is accepted the author stated as presenting author will need to register on due date to confirm participation in the programme and to attend the congress to present the contribution. Otherwise, the contribution will be withdrawn from the Congress programme.
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION (MINI-SYMPOSIA ABSTRACTS)
If you have previously submitted a Mini-Symposium proposal for the ECM2024, or if you are taking part as a Speaker in a Mini-Symposium proposal previously submitted, you will not need to use this submission form to upload abstracts of the individual talks in advance. Please note that:

  • If the Mini-Symposium is finally accepted, you will be directly contacted at a later stage to provide the abstract of your individual talk.
  • If the Mini-Symposium is finally not accepted, you will then be able to submit your individual talk as an individual abstract through this submission form in case that you were interested in this option.
The contact person (Organizer) of the Mini-Symposia proposals will be contacted and informed in due time about the final decision, so that person will be able to share this information with the Mini-Symposium proposal participants.

Should you have any doubt related to the Mini-Symposia submission process please contact: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
